I've had my first wedding-related nightmare... well, it wasn't really much of a nightmare - I didn't wake up in a panic or anything. The dream went on (into what I don't remember) and I woke up naturally. But the "nightmare" part was where I dreamt that the wedding was in 2 weeks and I still hadn't picked out the bridesmaid dresses ;-) Hmm,

I'd feel guilty about registering if I were, too, just because I'm not very comfortable with receiving in general in my life (i.e. it's normal for me to feel guilty about receiving, but I recognize that it's healthy to receive as much as I am willing to give). But truly, registering is a tradition and people expect to give you gifts. It's just a way for them to have guidance what to get you - it doesn't obligate them to do anything they don't feel comfortable with. If I can't find something on a registry that I want to give or that seems practical or in my price range, I buy a gift card for that store and I know it will come in handy.

Would your fiance entertain the idea of moving to Montreal? That would be cool.
