Behavioral Considerations

Piper has been pretty fun the past few days, which is a relief after WEEKS of bad behavior. We start with a minimum five minute time-out in our house, and arguing with us, defiance, sneaking in toys to play with, or getting up before your time is over will earn you a penalty of +2 minutes. I love when you post about her, both the good and the bad. Since we're not having kids and that breaks my heart a bit, it is nice to read your posts and live a little vicariously. :D

:) and also sorry about your heart being a little bit broken.

I suppose here it sounds like I only think she's "wonderful" when she's behaving properly, which of course isn't true. She's funny and silly and obsessed with the Beatles and loves to dance (we end up dancing to "I Am The Walrus" together almost every day). She loves building with Legos, tall tall towers that she knocks over and says "Oh, no! It fell over!" while laughing maniacally. She's very interested in how things smell - today she told me "Do you think these strawberries smell like cabbage?" and "This yarn smells like blue. I like it." It's just a lot harder to enjoy this stuff when she's screaming and kicking me in the head.

I never for a moment thought you don't love her madly 100% of the time, even though she might act like a terror at times. She is pretty awesome. LOL IT SMELLS BLUE.
