Well it's finally done. I handed in my resignation yesterday. My last day of work will be Friday October 31st. Sometime after that I will be moving back to Marquette. Nancy and Kevin actually took the news very well. At this point the person who is most upset about it is my father which is something I'm still trying to figure out.

Congrats on your soon-to-be freedom!

Your father shouldn't be upset, you gave Nancy more than enough chances, and it just didn't work out. Does he expect you to stay at something that's in the toilet and spinning clockwise?

His response has generally been: It's not so bad, stick it out and things will get better (this from a man who stayed in his job until it gave him an ulcer) I also think it might have something to do with the fact that I'm moving home in the interim (even though I've offered to pay rent)
