My prof gave me a huge stack of books on the Iliad and ancient epic today, and then got really enthused and started throwing in random books on homosexuality in Ancient Greece, including a hilarious one called Eros adolescent: la pédérastie

Achilles' love for Patroclus is what makes him a HUMAN BEING. Without Patroclus, the Iliad would not be one of the greatest works of Western literature. It would just be a story about an arrogant, whiny douchebag that no one would want to read.
