We'll have another (and better) shot at it when the Collider comes up to full speed on October 21, coincidentally (or not) the day I deem the start of the period when the veil between the living and the dead is pourous.
I never really "felt it" about this particular Doomsday possibility, but I love it when - for whatever reason - I'm taken with the notion that this day or that may be my last. Even though I have never gotten on a flight to Milan instead of going to the office, I so much enjoy even the routine and mundane aspects of my life on such days.
One of these days, when I'm a tad older, I intend to take those feelings more seriously and take that flight to Milan ... but for now I'm content to periodically enjoy life with the intensity of imminent mortality awareness.
