If you could pick one song to listen to while dying (peacefully -- think of it as drifting off to an eternal sleep or something), what would you choose?

morbid are we?

acoustic high and dry by radiohead. yeah it's depressing, but dying is depressing. and that is seriously one of the prettiest songs ever.

oh, not morbid, just... intellectually curious! (I'm resisting saying something about how curiosity killed the cat, because that WOULD make me morbid. yes.)

my brother's screenname used to be HighAndDry after that song. or at least I think it was after that song. my grandfather used to tell him that if he didn't [insert action here -- often involved taping football], he'd be LowAndWet.

This could totally be different tommorow, but right now it would be either "Into the West" or "Use Well the Days" by Annie Lennox.

They're such powerful, beautiful songs, and "Into the West", at least, is partially about peacefully dying.

"Lay Me Down" from the Copycat OST by Christopher Young. It's film score, but it's the most beautiful "peaceful death" track I've ever heard, even though that wasn't even its use in the film....

Shall I make you a CD?
