Many years ago, I had to send my iBook G4 in to get the optical drive replaced (under warranty). I guess they noticed that at least half of the keys on my keyboard no longer had letters on them (my nails wore them off) and gave me a new keyboard. Three years later, when I had to get my hard drive replaced, they replaced my keyboard again. And my optical drive. I only paid for the new hard drive.
See, that is awesome. I deal with far too many shoddily- supported products. When I encounter something like this, they have just won a customer for life. I also happen to spend far too much on electronics, so it's their win. I am still planning on buying a new desktop, in the near future, whether it be an iMac or a Mac Pro, I haven't decided, but I am totally Mac loyal now.
I mean, I'm a total raging Apple fangirl anyway (I've been using Macs since I was 2), but the support I've gotten has been fantastic. The HD replacement seriously took 2 days for them to get back to me. I got the computer back before I got the email saying that they'd sent it back to me.
