Saw Audra McDonald today. Absolutely amazing. There are hardly words. She was funny and evocative and just was her songs.

I may have forgotten one or two, but to my memory she sang the following (vaguely in order):
"When Lola Sings" by Michael John LaChuisa, "It Might as Well Be Spring" from State Fair, "Hurry, It's Lovely Up Here" from On a Clear Day You Can See Forever, "Stars and the Moon" from Songs for a New World, "Beat My Dog," "Bill" from Showboat, "I Double Dare You" from Radio Days, "The Glamorous Life" from the film of A Little Night Music, "I Won't Mind," "Will He Like Me" from She Loves Me, "I Could Have Danced All Night" from My Fair Lady (as an audience sing-a-long), "Dividing Day" from Light in the Piaza, "I Can't Stop Talking About Him" from Let's Dance, "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" from The Wizard of Oz, "What Can You Loose" from Dick Tracy, "Not a Day Goes By" from Merrily We Roll Along, "When Did I Fall in Love" from Fiorello, and as an encore "Edelweiss" from The Sound of Music.

I could go on and on about each, but I'll spare the world my gushing. I am such a gay man sometimes. But you would be too if you had seen it.

EDIT: Should also mention that right before the show we got told to leave our balcony seats and sit in the fourth row of the orchestra. Don't ask me why, but sometimes the world gives the most amazing gifts. I feel like the luckiest man in the world.
