We just opened our new hospital on campus, and there are a lot of new people around. My office is at the end of a very long, convoluted hallway, and you can't accidentally get there. It's like 4:45, and the head of the new ER walks in to "introduce himself to the neighbors," which originally really confused us because the ER is nowhere near here. ( Read more... )

So, I'm going with "so wrapped up in his own concerns that he can't actually hear what anyone else is telling him." Because arrogance in an ER chief I can understand, but congenital idiocy? That's a whole 'nother kettle of fish.

Sadly, no--I think he said they just used the Mayo Journal's staff in Rochester, since it has so few articles. They don't even have their own dedicated staff. But you never know down the road.
