The only place around here that sells ghee is an Indian food store, and they want way too much for it.

I like using butter for cooking. You can't beat paper thin pork chops, dredged in flour and fried in butter. And afterwards you use the leftover butter to make gravy.

OK, I think I know what I'm making for dinner tomorrow.

I buy Nanak (it's from BC) but there's a dairy down near you that makes it... I forgot their name.

The fact that it lasts so long and lets me cook everything I want to in buttery without burning is why I use it.

I see they have Nanak ghee on Amazon, $15.38 for a 28-oz jar. Is that a good price?

Freezing/chilling it into flower-shaped chunks is a lovely idea! That lends an extra bit of class to the convenient pre-measured bits.
