Just when I thought I would be totally happy staying frugal, my beloved waterproof boots finally kicked the bucket. I've been managing to keep the zipper from breaking completely, but as of today the poor old soles have separated just enough to allow the water to seep in. I had cold, cold feet on the walk home today

Hehe... I actually like gumboots. And I like the cheap ones the best. But I find them pretty uncomfortable for the amount of walking I do every day. Also, they're not really office appropriate... so then I'd have to pack shoes in my purse and... yeah. Also, the knee-high insulated suede boots play a key role in my "keeping warm" strategy... gumboots are chilly :(

Believe me, I've been considering this option :) But these boots are a pretty key functional piece of my wardrobe every year October - April.
