I'm taking a class on critical analysis of drama this quarter, and I put myself in the Gay/Lesbian critique group. For my part of my presentation, I'm planning on showing how Frodo and Sam actually do have more than friendship feelings for each other. Anyone have any suggestions for scenes I should show? I only have access to the ROTK DVD, so

Are you focusing solely on the movie then or are you going to use quotes from the novel as well? I am just thinking that if you have quotes it would make your point that much stronger; the movie is the book as seen/portrayed by Peter Jackson. I can't think of any quotes off the top of my head, but I will let you know if I think of any.

Well, actually, I'm only focusing on the movie interpretation...it's irrelevant to my presentation whether or not the relationship was in the books as well. I'm just using the movie to demonstrate an instance where it's possible to interpret the relationship as gay, even if it's not commonly or officially acknowledged as such.
