Kairi ran one of her small fingers down the spine of a very beautiful leather book. Whenever she was in Twilight Town and needed to go somewhere to think, she went straight to the local bookshop and cafe. At a bookstore, Kairi felt at peace. And with so much rushing about her mind, she needed a little peace. It was so absurd, all of this going back and forth between worlds. Kairi knew that it was the answer to her adventurous spirit, but it was so absolutely tiring at times. There were familiar and unfamiliar faces everywhere- some evil, and yet some nice.
She needed the books. Needed the books to calm her over-active neurosis, her constant need to engage in fanciful thoughts. She found herself gathering books in her arms for purchase. Things she didn't have money for.
What would Sora or Riku say if they were here? Riku would laugh-- she was sure of it. It was in Sora's nature to understand, so he'd most likely laugh along at the moment, but then come speak to her in private later, curious to know what she had wanted so badly.
Kairi sighed, suddenly feeling more homesick than ever.
