Ok, you may all laugh at me now.

I wasn't quite sick of VNV yet, and still enjoyed listening to them. Despite rampant cynicism, I was still fairly eager to hear the new material. So I ordered the album from Amazon...

...

Jordan, don't worry. You won't be subjected to this in the car.

There's a moral to this story somewhere...

And right you should! Don't worry, we all went through that... shameful time. I even fanboyed Ronan, once upon a time. I'm much better now.

The sad thing is that I am very lazy about removing crap from my LJ. So that stupid VNV community still gets dumped to my Friends page. Mind you, that VNV LJ community has always sucked ass, even at the height of me liking VNV. I mostly joined just so I wouldn't miss a concert. Back when I gave enough of a shit to want to go...

But the drivel there lately with this new album out...

Every post there I read, I hear it voiced over in a total teeniebopper Britney Spears fan's shrill tittering...

The vapidness sucks my brain away.

Even setting aside your own warnings, I should have know how much the album would suck just by how much the ass-licking there was irritating me... :-/

Yes you may. Everyone gets a free laugh at my expense.

I deserve it for buying this piece of crap...

Well, I am not sure if I have seen the light or not - I got the new Garbage album at the same time, and have enjoyed the first couple of tracks (haven't gotten any further than that yet).

But in the last few months, I have learned to not give a shit about either VNV or A23, two bands I used to love. So, that's progress, right? ;)

Better yet!
I'll send you little pieces of melted plastic goo!

Wonder if he'll let me burn ALL his VNV cds - I could make an exhibit for Burning Man! Finally! VNV has artistic merit!

I am suddenly gripped with an intense desire to make a political statement by burning heaps upon heaps of VNV merchandise during a rally.
