I love you, roots and all, but... eiffel13 December 14 2006, 09:31:47 UTC
Roots or not... I still hate country. Like I said, with the exception of a few songs, it's all too twangy.

I'd rather have a ("boring") man with good words and an awesome guitar than a nasal nose-singing twanger.

But I don't go crazy, because a) it's your car b) it makes you happy, c)I love you long time :), d) "Fergilicious d-".

A happy Mel is a good thing... but you know what would make you happier, so do it. :-)

i'm sorry, but music was ment to convey emotion--why do you think that in the 1800s composers wrote marches to spur the nations!? boring does not equate to music. it equates to useless crap. i'll grant you the awesome guitar, but what is that? MUSIC! marches didn't have words because people aren't looking to the words for emotionality--they're looking to the MUSIC. words are just incidental--they always have been, and they always will be, no matter if it is music or not. for instance, when i say to precious, "come here you stupid dumb dog, i want to kill you" in my sweet voice, she doesn't know--she goes by the melody; and when i say to precious, "i love you, you wonderful little doggie doodle" in my i hate you and am going to kill you voice, she runs like a maniac because she goes by the dissonance. and so it is with music. words don't count.
