Seto growled irritably to himself under his breath. This was not how he had imagined his business trip would go, under any circumstances ( Read more... )

He'd heard talk of a new demon in Seneca, one whose powers manifested in tentacles masquerading as his lower body. The angel frowned, carefully circling over the graveyard, trying to get a feel for what was down there, what was causing problems- he could already detect disturbed dead- zombies, actually. He frowned, circling lower to look at the lay of the land, looking for what had been disturbed. One of the tombs was disturbed, and Nahollo opened his wings wide, landing carefully and shaking the moisture they'd accumulated off ( ... )

At the sound of knocking - what the hell were they using? A rock? - Seto panicked slightly, tentacles crawling back in along the wall to spool under him in a writhing mass of dark purple that hoisted him up the wall, a head higher than he would normally stand. The door opened and Seto's eyes flared in muted panic before he registered just who - or what - was standing there.

"And what the hell are you supposed to be?" sneered Seto at the winged person, equilibrium restored. Which Ra-be-damned duellist had followed him all the way out here? Marik or Bakura seemed most likely, as they could summon more efficiently than him. He narrowed his eeys at the monster. "Some kind of Change of Heart gone wrong?"

He growled irritably, once again folding his arms against the his chest, bare skin goosebumping in the wash of chill air from the open door.

"Never mind. Go tell your master I'm no mood to duel," he instructed, "Or be prepared to be dispatched."

Change of Heart? Master? Nahollo's eyebrows arched up, and he stepped further into the tomb. "I doubt you could dispatch me so easily," Nahollo offered, ruffling his wings. "You are disturbing a resting place for the dead." At this reminder- both for the strange demon's benefit and his own, Nahollo tightened his grip on his sword, flipping his hood back with his free hand and fixing Seto with an intense silver-eyed glower. "I am going to give you one chance to leave this graveyard before I start hacking time off of the span of your life." There was only one demon he knew of who could directly counter that ability of his, and that was a most assuredly female demon who held absolutely zero physical attraction to him-

--huh. He hadn't realized that he wasn't interested in women, not really. That was neither here nor there, though, and the angel stepped to one side, gesturing to the door. "Now. Out."

"It is raining," said Seto icily, glaring. "I don't know what type of Game-" the capitals sat there far too easily "-you're trying to play, but I am not doing the tomb any harm." His eyes narrowed still further, lowering himself to Nahollo's level so he could glare directly at those infuriating silver eyes. "And it was your summoner who first disturbed it when he called those Ra-damned zombies on me."

This reeked of Bakura's doing, but what the hell the thief was doing all the way in the back woods of America was beyond him. Something was not quite right here, niggling at the back of his mind, little inconsistencies coming to light but not making any recognisable picture. He frowned in thought, eyes still on Nahollo, not quite realising it was happening as his tentacles spread out across the floor, situating him more comfortably. The tips idly wriggled against the cold stone, the chill not bothering them as much as it did his exposed upper half.
