I have TiVo, but find myself in the same situation all the time. I rented The Bucket List from TiVo this weekend. I do not recommend it. It sucks actually.

If you find anything good, then feel free to repost your reviews. I find I'm searching for stuff Sunday nights more often than I like these days.

I *love* Baron Munchausen. And make sure that's the director's or final cut of Blade Runner.

Seconded - Baron Munchausen is *insane*. And it's a Terry Gilliam flick.

James & I recently watched Persepolis and it was totally amazing.

Try to also see:

- The City of Lost Children (creepy, dark, and cool with amazing cinematography - the movie can't be described to do it justice)

- Fantastic Planet (animated French, but english dubbed, movie from the 70's - unique animation and great sci-fi story)

So many others I could suggest, but I need to get a dinner party on!

I *heart* NetFlix!

i love City of Lost Children! it's by the same director as Amelie... i forget his name, but his work is great... he also did this great movie, Delicatessen, about a post apocalyptic town where the butcher/landlord kills travelers to feed his tenants... it's not a horror movie, the story focuses on the butcher's daughter and a travler she falls in love with and how they escape...
