I have like a million potentials and then I realised that I maybe have a good idea of what you'd say anyway, but I'm still curious.

so I'll come back when more people have asked I guess

/blah blah blah this is a pointless comment but now that I've written it I won't back down!

Rose and Delenn

1) Delenn is fierce. She is one of the first things I immediately liked about the show and continued to be one of my favourite things about it the entire way through. I love her quiet nature, her steeled anger and how goddamn flawed she is. Because you know, Delenn is so elegant, so brilliant, so effortlessly diffusing and enlightened except that she's also got these giant blind spots of naivety and self righteousness.

2) Incredibly. Can't fucking do Babylon 5 without Delenn.

3) I can't really relate to Delenn at all, but I certainly find her an emotionally compelling character. I get really into that flashback episode after all ( ... )

1) Jesus's characterization is kind of nebulous so it's hard to get a good read on the guy. He's sort of got a wafer thin personality (ha ha) and rather than fleshing it out (oh ho), authors use him as a cipher which is a shame since he's got a lot of potential to be an interesting inversion of the tropey religious leader.

2) He's sort of the main character for the second half of the plot, but I'd call him more a plot device than anything.

3) Ehhh.

4) The canon's okay but the fandom is crazy and spends all their time writing wanky self insert mary sue fic.

5) look at this beautiful man6) I'd make sure he was always played by Ian Gillan. Seriously, everyone just completely pissed the role away ( ... )

1) I love Karkat he is my sad little tiny angry bb and the character I got into reading Homestuck for, because I thought I would like him. While Dave eventually edged him out in the favourite character department, I still reserve a chunk of my fannish heart for Karkat's toothy histrionics ( ... )

TEREZI

1) Terezi is so goddamn refreshing. I don't really know what it is about her, but I have a hard time pinning her down into a set of recognizable tropes. There's something inherently original about her- flirtatious, canny, justice obsessed and possessed of a startling emotional maturity in contrast to her frankly trollish persona. I love the trappings of Terezi's character- her horrible hyena laugh and the way she sort of slouches around with that bent-over-a-computer-too-long hunch, her ability to manipulate people so effortless either for ill or for their own good ( ... )

Yes yes yes yes.

Terezi is one of the most incredible characters in Homestuck and she is the power behind the throne, she's also in a position where she is one of the smartest and most cunning members of the cast which is not a position usually held by a woman -- everything about her design, gestures and character actually leads her to being mistaken for a guy in fanart, I've found, and that's telling.

Tereziiii what's happening with you, gurl?

inorite

I mean she's too good for him you know, but she's too good for a lot of people. Terezi fucking Pyrope.

Yes.
