~Ordo Arma~

The Ordo Arma is the soldier wing of the Societas. Amongst its ranks are the most highly skilled warriors in the SoR, those who both protect and seek out the heretics and enemies of the Societas. The Ordo Arma is comprised of the Templars, the Paladins, and the Wanderers.

=Templars=

The Shields of Romuel, the Templars form the defensive backbone of the Church and the Societas. Templars freely mix in with the Church's public defenders. As they are defensive in nature, many Templars wield shields in addition to their swords or maces. Templar magic also takes this focus; while their shield spells and blessings may not be on par with the Hospitallers, they are invaluable to the Templar and those she is sworn to protect.

Sample Ability: Blessing of the Shield Saint - The Templar calls upon the holy powers of the Shield Saint, granting her and her party members immunity from disease and curses, as well as a defense bonus. Physical attacks made against a target marked by the blessing add N to their target difficulty roll.

=Paladin=

The Blades of Order, the Paladins are the offensive hounds of the Societas. Often sent out to punish heretics, they also help to defend alongside their Templar brethren. Often sacrificing armor for offensive power, they are nevertheless foes best not underestimated. Like their brethren, they intermingle with the Church's own knights and defenders. When a heretic stronghold needs to be stormed, a Paladin will be leading the charge.

Sample Ability: Vermillion Blade - The Paladin's attacks are granted +N Holy damage that ignores resistance and immunity. Evil creatures struck are often stunned or killed instantly, if the Paladin's level is high enough.

=Wanderers=

The Windborn Vagabonds, the Wanderers do much as their name implies: wander. They are the travelling missionaries, charismatic and friendly folk who learn as much as they teach. Forsaking most forms of armor, they rely on agility to keep them out of harms way and know various forms of martial arts. While not frontline fighters, they are still adept at subduing enemies, enemies who are often too overconfident.

Sample Ability: Voice of the First Saint - The Wanderer rallies his party members with scripture from the TOS or the words of the Saints, giving each +N to the respective rolls, both of attack and defense.

~The Ordo~

The Ordo is the information hub of the Societas, collecting and dissecting knowledge from across Gaia. Those inclined towards stealth as well as those who master magical forces find their home amongst the Ordo. The Ordo is comprised of the Scholars and the Watchers.

=Scholars=

The Keepers of Knowledge, the Scholars are the arcane masters of the Societas, as well as the dissectors of whatever information the Watchers collect. Utilizing elemental magic, the Scholars are not as defenseless as they may seem at first glance. Whenever a Societas member needs information, whether on a heretical teaching of the workings of a magical seal, she goes to a Scholar.

Sample Ability: Frosthold - The Scholar slams her staff or fist into the ground, sending out a shockwave of magical ice that will trap the feet (or anything touching the ground) of those who fail the save roll. The length of the frost trap is based upon the Scholar's level. Sufficiently strong characters may force themselves free, by pulling themself loose or by hacking away at the ice.

=Watchers=

The Hidden Eyes, the Watchers act as the spies of the Societas. Their primary duty is to collect information, to be shared and dissected with the Scholars. Stealth is their realm, and they employ various magics and techniques to go where others would not desire. Watchers often use shortswords and other small weapons, and know the various weak points on a body, which they are adept at exploiting.

Sample Ability: Cloak of the Shadow Saint - The Watcher cloaks himself in shadow, and is able to move unseen. The cloak softens any noise the Watcher may make, with only sufficiently alert characters able to pick out the noises. Watchers may work simple devices while under the cloak, such as doors, but attacks and more arduous tasks end the effect.

~Ordo Hospitalia~

=Hospitallers=

The Healing Hands of Mod, the Ordo Hospitalia is made up of the Societas' healers. The most common of clerics of Mod, divine healers who work with Holy magic to mend the wounded. Healers of other stripes, including more natural methods and those utilizing earth-based magics, are also found with the order, although they are much rarer. Most Hospitallers travel in groups including Paladins or Templars, even though they may tap into blessings and shield spells of their own.

Sample Ability: Seal of Compassion - The Hospitaller lays her hands upon the target's wounds, praying to the Saint of Compassion and the Mods. An intricate magical seal glows on the skin, and lasts for a number of hours equal to the Hospitaller's level. The seal heals the wound until the effect runs out or the injury has been completely healed, whichever comes first.

~"Defunct" Orders~

Legends speak of other orders, which were either myth or have since become defunct. The generals alone may know of each order's continued existence, but none are speaking.

=Ordo Inquisitoris=

Tasked with rooted out corruption and heresy amongst the Societas' own ranks, the Inquisitors are spoken about only in hushed tones and when well away from where they might be heard. None know where the Inquisitors are, if they even existed, and many a new recruit avoids the shadowy areas of the Societas headquarters.

Sample Ability: Inquisitor's Snare - The Inquisitor draws a magical circle upon the ground. Any who walk into it or are placed inside are trapped by dark energies. Any attempts made by the trapped to lie require a difficulty role, set against the Inquisitor. A failure induces a shock through the body, as well as the inability to utter the intended lie.

=Ordo Slayer=

Often few in number, the Slayers were the Holy Assassins of the Societas. Adept at stealth to a level rivaling the Watchers, the Slayers were also trained in the proper methods of quick and lethal executions.

Sample Ability: Admin's Wrath - The Slayer strikes with a normal, unenchanted weapon, praying to the Mods and the Admin to strike down his target. If the target is sufficiently guilty of crimes against Mod, they are dealt damage equal to three times the Slayer's level. For particularly heretical targets, barring any sort of magical protections, the strike is instantly lethal. The weapon of the Slayer deals no physical damage; the damage is instead representative of a sundering of the target's soul from his or her body. As such, no marks are left on the body.

=Adversaries=

A strange group whose sole purpose was to tempt the Modists within the Societas, the Adversaries have not been heard or seen in some time. Whether they worked in conjunction with the Inquisitors or not has been up to debate. Wily and crafty, the Adversaries were adept at opening people up and discovering their secrets.

Just some basic write-ups I did, to get the gears grinding again.
