hey gerl...i love reading about your dance performance...who do you dance with? I was with Lynda Raino for 10 years until last year when i moved to van...in fact i had my last performace at teh Royal the day I left...wish i was there to see you sweets...performing for yourself and an audience is no small thing....very personal...congrats love....
hey neely! i was dancing with victoria dance connection (quadra/hillside) but it was through uvic.. the classes were for school! i hadn't dance for 8 years until a couple months ago.. i danced for 8 years before that, but it was in courtenay (gemini dance studios). it was so awesome getting back into it, and it was much less intimating going through the school (you know how studios can be quite snobby).. it's over now and i'm going to miss it SO much. i'm thinking about taking a class with with vdc in the fall though.. i just don't know if i can choose b/t modern, jazz, and hip hop. i want to do all three! and dance at least 3 times a week!! but it's just so expensive.
thanks for understanding about the solo thing.. you're totally right, it is no small thing.. it was super personal and a pretty big deal to me.
