A Friendly Ear

It's unedited and probably stupid, but whatever. I've had the idea (and the desire to explore the character of Alma a little more) for a couple of weeks now, and finally just sat down and started writing it. I wrote pretty much all of it in one sitting.

Here's another moment of awesome:

I was headed out of work, and as I pass the door I see a guy in an EHS (that's Emergency Health Services - he was a paramedic) standing there talking on a cell phone. I think to myself, "Whoa, an ambulance guy, I hope ..."

Then I remember that I work in a hospital.

I just finished with a piece of paper that had something I needed to do written on it. My desk here at work is a disaster zone so, instead of just sticking it on my desk to add to the mess, I decided to stick it on the chair that sits next to my desk (and has a sign on it that says "CHAIR").
