Night of Silence

Merry Christmas Eve, everyone! ♥

I give you this Christmas the prettiest carol ever. It was written to counter Silent Night, and if you ever get the chance to sing it or hear it, go for it. Coincidentally, the lyrics are lovely and poetic. Thus, I spam you.

Although I am generally refraining from comment on LJ, it might interest you to know that the song is called "Night of Silence". We used to sing it backstage at play practice all of the time. I sang it with my Church Choir when I was about 10 and I never forgot the lyrics because I thought they were that pretty. Anyhow, glad you like it too.

Merry Christmas!

it sounds like a pretty song.
Merry Christmas, Teri!! :] <3 &hearts
and I love that icon of yours (I saw the original music "piece" it was from when you posted it before, and it was hilarious - it looks impossible to play on any instrument, though, of course; I couldn't even try to attempt it on my violin). especially since it mentions penguins. :D

=) We (church choir) sang it the night before CHristmas Eve mass. Of course the sopranos and I added in Silent Night around the 3rd verse. Oh yeah, that was an interesting challenge... singing soprano 2 having sung alto 1 all semester. FUN. I had to totally change my voice register, and literally force myself to sing that high, but it sounded great nontheless because I was a soprano for so long before. I hope YOU are having a great holiday. If you ever need anything, like a rescue, a shoulder, an ear, you know who to call. I'm always here for you.
Love you.
