I spent most of today lying around, watching TV, (they have one channel here that plays nothing but American movies :P) Jordan called and I talked to him for a little while, and felt very homesick. That seems to happen when I'm not really doing anything ( Read more... )

Oh don't worry, I've been asking Plenty of questions. I've got a perhaps unreasonable goal of being able to hold a decent conversation by the time I leave in two weeks. I know learning a language to that extent usually takes much longer, but I have the best possible learning environment right now, so I should take advantage of it ( ... )

That is very strange... but I imagine they get lots of not so great teachers who just want the paid vacation in Japan. If you're really a great teacher, then who knows?

Are there really? I never saw one in Montreal, and Keri just saw that sorta one once at the mall... but I guess if anywhere they would be more abundant in Vancouver.
