Ah, thank you for all the clarifications! That makes MUCH more sense now. I remember in comparative religions class last year, we went over Buddhism, but more just the touching on precepts of the philosophy, etc.. nothing ritualistic. *shrug*
Those are some good ideas.. I'll think about what else I can do.
No problem! I was really looking @ Buddhism as a possible religion for myself awhile back, so I learned alot! ^_~ And I'm glad that helped. :D
Go do summery things! If nothing else (and if you're feeling brave!) try just walking out around the neighborhood! Do they have a dog or something? See if you can give it a walk so you can get to know the area better. Who knows? You may just find some treasures~! (oooh! Go on a SCAVENGER HUNT! xD)
Hmmm, I'm sure what to suggest... learn more Japanese? :/
How about exploring on your own? Bring some paper and pencils/pen and go out somewhere nice to sit down and maybe sketch a building or a tree etc... or write down a poem or thoughts. I'd think that would be very relaxing.
Or make a to-do list of things you'd like to do. Maybe you could teach the Japanese people something Canadian or American. I'm not sure exactly what... teach them a song or a game that we play here but they don't there.
Meh, I don't really know what else. Mmmmm, sushi! ^^ And it sounds pretty neat going to a buddhist temple for service. :)
Hello! I'm working on my nightly update... hmm... should I download AIM on this computer and uninstall it when I leave? I doubt Noboru-san would mind too much...
