Moving on...

Wow... It's been a long time, and in a weird way I feel like I've been missing being able to jot down my thoughts somewhere. I mean, I feel like it kind of holds me back if I don't have a way to take stock every once in a while of what's going on in my life. I felt so good when I got back from France. Just reading a few of your entries so far I can tell you've had some adventures! It's going to take some time but it would be so interesting to read about France and why you were there ...etc (if it's in here) and so on. I adore that you two just got in a car with your pooch and went on an adventure. How wonderful. So many couples say they will do that but never do. You two did. Excellent!

Thanks :) It was a pretty big decision to make for us. We don't have much money, and of course there's a lot of things that can go wrong on a big trip like that. But in the end, we decided it was the right thing to do and the right time. Since we want to have kids soon, we wanted to have this experience while it's just the two of us (plus our dog Basil of course). Plus, since I was studying abroad in France this past Spring and Quebec in the Fall, we wanted to spend as much quality time together as possible over the summer. We drove to Skagway, Alaska (via Whitehorse, Yukon) and then took the ferry to Juneau where we stayed with Geoff's daughter, her husband and their three kids for almost 3 weeks. It was a truly amazing experience, and God really blessed us with the oportunity to go for it, and that nothing went wrong for the whole 6 weeks. I really feel like northern British Columbia has to be just about the most beautiful place on earth.
