I understand the feeling of failure for not getting to your goal with NaNo or writing in general but you should be proactive and relish in what you did accomplish and use that as motivation to press forward. Create a new goal for December. Who needs a nation-wide (becoming world-wide isn't it?) marathon for inspiration! You can do it! Now, this coming from someone that should take their advice. I have never attempted NaNo actually. But I used to belong to a writer community (Forward Motion) that did separate monthly marathons...so if you missed one there was always another to join into. Are you in any writer communities? What is your genre? I added you by the way and I hope you don't mind!

Thanks. That's good advice. I added you back and I'll check out Forward Motion. I have a few things posted on www.fictionpress.com/~hearswakes My Nanowrimo story is the first one listed. I'm trying to tell myself I should go ahead and finish it, even without the November deadline. I appreciate your encouragement :)
