man, my experience has been the EXACT opposite as yours in regards to the tsunami. the way people have just gone "oh yeah, well we better help those dudes out" without complaint.

when you get complaints from people that their government isn't spending enough of their tax money to help out other countries, i give the universe the horns.

I think enough time has been spent going from crisis to crisis for there to be a recognition that they aren't going to stop.

I mean on a smaller level here than Asian mirthquakes, but maybe not.
