Sitting on my chest

So, yeah, I have dangerously low iron. I'm slowly coming out of weakened stupor that it caused. I was seriously dizzy and weak and disoriented for like a month. And every once in a while, I would get the very special feeling that a large man with little feet was standing on my chest. That was from not having enough oxygen in my body ( Read more... )

I'm so glad you're okay. Thank goodness you found a doctor who will take care of you. Good luck finding the cause. My good thoughts go with you. :)

Glad you're okay. My problem is the opposite - my iron count is so high that it could lead to some sort of blood poisoning (despite being a vegetarian). My potassium is super low, though. I guess they just have to figure out how and why our bodies process certain things. Hopefully the iron pills will help and they'll figure out why you had the problem in the first place. Dangerously low Iron eh? Anyone said anything to you about Celiac disease yet?

My father was misdiagnosed with that for five years, until they found out what was really wrong with him last January.

Oh wow, how scary! I'm glad you found a doctor who listened to you, and that you're feeling better now.

Iron pills made me nauseated, but for a time they were better than the alternative.
