15 year old guys are non compus mentus... he prolly did it to spite someone (my guess is his father). Too bad for Kathy.

Funny about families, and maybe that proves the opposites attract theory? My family was warm and generous, and big. My ex's family wasn't the most functional, although I'm still good friends with his sister. She made a comment today about genetics and me not being so eager to see my boys pass on their paternal genetics. Kinda funny, coming from her.

I'm fair-skinned too (almost albino-like) and never obtained a real tan. I just burn and peel, burn and peel.

I'm glad Kathy got to see her family, I know she was home-sick from your previous posts. Rock on... it's all about cherry pie in my book.

Turns out her nephew Jonathon is dropping out to get his GED. His family is just basically like whatever. My family would have strung me up. Kathy's the only one of the three siblings to get her high school diploma, let alone a college degree. I can't help feeling a little annoyed at how lightly they take him dropping out. I try to be a good relativist towards her family, different strokes for different blokes, but it's hard when you've been raised with such different values. Not to say I don't like her family. I really do. I just can't mellow enough to not chafe at some of their values, I guess.
