Under the pillow

I had terrible tooth pain last week for like 5 days, and finally I went to the dentist. He tried to save the tooth by filling the cavity despite it being pretty deep, but it continued to hurt like hell. I had it pulled on Tuesday. :( *hug* I got lucky with good teeth and just two or three gray hairs. (On my head.) (Along with the rest.)

I'm hoping maybe I can save all the ones on the bottom, and worse case scenario just have to wear dentures on the top. Best case, maybe just have a bridge or two or a partial denture on the top. I know, it doesn't sound like a best case, but work with me here. :)

I always hated dentists. I had surgery twice, once to take out baby teeth which never fell out and the adult teeth were coming in through the roof of my mouth. Then the other time for my wisdom teeth. Luckily I was put out for it, so it was no big deal.

I never had one cavity though. *knocks on wood*

Wow, that's pretty impressive. I use that sonic care toothbrush that's supposed to reverse cavities when they start, but I guess it's not all it's hyped to be.

I read about this 30-something guy in the newspaper once who lost like 3 or 4 teeth in some accident and new ones grew in. Apparently the same thing happened to his uncle. Some kind of evolutionary adaptation to losing our teeth, I guess. Reminded me of a shark.
