I love Teyla. I love how smart she is, how competent, how self-controlled, how kick-ass, and how she doesn't feel the need to show off any of those things. I love that she's spent her whole life in a hopeless war without ever considering surrender, and I love that she saw the potential the Atlantis expedition had for turning the tide and grabbed on with both hands. I love how gracefully she negotiates her membership in different and sometimes conflicting groups. I love how she loves her team, and how she respects their skills and thoughts even when they're alien to her. I love that she can technobabble. I love her smile of quiet amusement - Mona Lisa has nothing on Teyla.

Also, she is stunningly beautiful. When the light hits her just right, I stop breathing.
