Bowing out of RPG Net for good

I served out my suspension without particular complaint-as I said last week, I broke a rule and know I did, and don't object to them enforcing their rules. I object a lot to this exchange in the Trouble Tickets thread about it:

I was permabanned myself late last year, via an invocation of rpg.net's "no disclosure of PMs" rule.

I'd called out a mod (PatrickY) over gravedancing in Curt's permaban thread in TT. Next thing I knew I was permabanned, no appeals answered.

Though I'd kind of expected some sort of mod action (many of them, chiefly Nina, FVB, and Darren were clearly uncomfortable with some of my posts), I never thought they'd stoop to Kafka-esque drygulching. Nothing I'd written by PM could have been construed as a personal attack by anyone smarter than a grade schooler, but their "rules" let them insinuate whatever they liked.

Live and learn...

In any case, sorry for *your* experience at their hands.

And a ps- my brother-in-law was permabanned shortly after, in spite of his five-year participation/registration, as being an alleged "sockpuppet" (of a ten-year-old account). No appeal for him, either. Nice thanks for service to his country, Cessna, et al!
