If you liked what you saw before, here is a listing of how I'm treating the races in this world.

Background on Races in the Feywild West:

Dragonborn - Native to North America, essentially Native American. Very heavy Primal and Martial, with rare shamans channeling Divine. Arcane and Psionic power sources are not trusted and seen as evil.

Dwarf - Emigrated from Russia. Very skilled laborers and magewrights, they laid the stones for much of the lightning railways, and laid the tracks for much of the mundane railways.

Eladrin - Emigrated from England. Known for stiff upper lips and high noses. Generally elitist, with a disdain for "low elves". Preference for not getting their hands dirty, usually seen in statesman or executive jobs.

Elf - Emigrated from Ireland, Scotland, and Wales. More down-to-earth than Eladrin (or "wankers"), and typically salt-of-the-earth laborers and tradesmen.

Half-Elf - When a Human and an Elf have had a lot to drink... Half-elves are seen as perfect ambassadors, and have massively helped Human/Elf relations in general.

Halfling - Creole. River folk, grifters and scoundrels, but with a massive love of Freedom. Helped many Orcs and Half-Orcs escape Southern oppression.

Human - Same as reality. Most came to America from Europe. Some are rich, some are not. Pretty good at just about everything.

Tiefling - Emigrated from Southeast Asia. Somewhat distrusted due to their frightening appearance, but are typically rather ascetic and peaceful, until provoked.

Deva - Emigrated from Japan, taking their native ancestor worship with them to America.

Gnome - Quintessential nomads, Gnomes typically hail from Eastern Europe, but have travelled the world many times over. If someone can live there, there's probably a Gnomish caravan there.

Goliath - Mountain-dwelling hillbillies, good-natured but simple.

Orc - Taken via slave ships from central Africa. Utilized as cheap labor by Southern states, much to the dismay and disgust of Northern States. The Western territories typically try to stay out of such politics, and Orcs are seen as a free people in the West.

Half-Orc - Rare children of slaves and slave-owners, they are typically hidden away in the Southern states. Many try to run to Western or Northern freedom.

Shifter - Severely distrusted due to Western Lycanthropic aggression.

Githzerai - Emigrated from France. Their intelligence and insight lends them towards political roles well.

Minotaur - Very rare. Emigrated from Greece. Distrusted by ignorant people who think they are lycanthropes.

Shardmind - Recently began appearing randomly.

Wilden - Newly born from forests themselves, Wilden are appearing all over the globe.

Bugbear - Emigrated from Germany. Gruff and serious. Unnoticeable sense of humor.

Doppelganger - No one knows if any actually exist.

Drow - An offshoot of Elves, Drow also hail from Great Britain. Distrusted, but not wholly reviled.

Gnoll - Native to America, they roam the Great Plains in large hunting packs.

Goblin - Large groups live practically everywhere they're not immediately driven out from. Goblins are essentially a sentient force of nature. A cattle rancher's worst enemies.

Hobgoblin - Rare, usually living as the leaders of goblin tribes.

Kobold - Like Goblins. No one's really sure where they came from, but everyone would like to see them gone.

Shadar-Kai - Emigrated from Egypt. They maintain a fervent belief in strange gods that only they recieve benefit from.

Warforged - Built by Dwarven citizens in preparation for a massive war divined to take place in the 1840's that never happened. Construction stopped in 1845. Some are still lobbying for citizen's rights. They state that, since they are sentient and were built on American soil, they should be given equal rights.

Bullywug - Emigrated from South America, along with Lizardmen, Sahuagin, Kuo-toa, and Yuan-ti... none of which are seen too far from the Great Black Lake, due to the extreme dry heat everywhere else in the Great Wastes.

Duergar - Also emigrated from Russia. Typically do not get along with Dwarves, but for reasons only they and Dwarves know.

Kenku - Hailing from Canada, these clever trappers are a common sight all across America.
