Ever muse on something in the shower...

and can't type it up because A) you're in the shower and the computer would die if you were to type things up in there and/or B) it's late....well past your bedtime and you're up in just a few hours but the thought just has to come out?

I think maybe the solitary thing comes from the history many pagans have. They may have come from an organized religion, or have rejected organized religion and have sought out something personally meaningful because they couldn't find the "one-size-fits-all" religion that fit them. The problem with seeking something personally meaningful is that everyone is different, so it's hard to find 2 people who overlap in enough areas to be able have them walk the same path.

Don't know if that came out the way I wanted it to, but I think you get the basic idea. I'm sure this is only part of the reason and probably not for everyone, but it might have something to do with it. :)

So sorry to hear about the trouble on witchgrove - I haven't checked in in such a long time... it's always been the image of safety in my mind. People constantly amaze me.

I was re-reading Katherine Kurtz's 'Lammas Night', and the same thoughts and overtones are in that book.
