Wow. I think I broke my previous record.
Anyway!
You know how there's a saying that goes, "When you move forward, don't ever turn around and look back"? Well, I TOTALLY learned my lesson the hard way today. And I swear, I'm gonna take that saying more seriously next time.
The thing is, for my Principles & Practice subject, Mr.P assigned a task to Eva and I where we had to become a lecturer for a day and present a chapter in front of the whole class. I played my part last Friday and I thought I was rid of one misery. Little did I know that today would bring 2 extra miseries to me. OTL
Earlier this morning, a classmate of mine, Sarah, inquired if I had read the mail in Mr.P's inbox. (Mr.P has this e-mail account specially made for his students where we can access it to download notes, reading lists, and presentation dates)
"Um, nope. I was thinking of checking it last night but it completely left my mind," I replied.
"Ahh, I see. I'm going to be your partner for the next presentation."
"O_O!! What next presentation? I've already done my part last Friday."
"I know, but your name was listed there for the second round of presentation. In fact, there were a few other students whose names are listed for 2nd round of presentations as well."
*headdesk*
Great. I had an inkling it might've been due to my rather-terrible performance last Friday. Maybe that's why I have to do it the second time around.
But it's okay, I thought. Since it's Mr.P's class and I practically get along with almost everyone in the class so I thought I'd be alright.
End of first story.
Second story.
To cut a long story short, I was making my way towards block A after my Introduction to English Literature class had ended. But, for some reason, I felt bad leaving without saying goodbye to a friend of mine who had stayed to discuss a few things with the lecturer. And so, I turned back and made my way towards the classroom.
WHICH WAS A BAD MISTAKE!!! Cuz, as soon as I returned to the classroom, Ms.Ivie asked me:
"Sarah, do you have a copy of the English Lit book with you?"
"Umm, yes."
"Perfect!! You'll present on '15th Century' part next week!"
"WAIT. WHAT!? B-But I can't do that, cuz Eva borrowed my book to made a copy--"
"Oh it's alright! Come here for a sec."
I dragged my feet as I made my way towards her table. Apparently I had been the "luckiest victim" to have gotten the longest part of chapter 2 to be presented next Tuesday. I have to read a total of 10 pages of stanzas written in ancient language, memorize the names of the person who were responsible for "creating such works of art" and summarize them in front of the class via Powerpoint Presentation. Terrific. Just terrific. As if I don't have enough on my hands. *facepalm*
Honestly. I was SO looking forward to a short vacation this weekend at a beach; doing absolutely nothing but playing by the sea, enjoying the sunset, blah blah blah. I suppose that's not happening now; especially since I have to read 10 pages of the history of the proses and works from the 15th century that are bound to burn my brain cells instead of my fat. Ugggggghhhhhhh.
Initially, I was thinking of going through the text tonight but, seriously, I am BEYOND exhausted to even function right now.
Haaaaahhh. Felt slightly better to vent that out. :D
I'm gonna retire to bed now.
