hahaha!!! I would like to see #365 #cat...that's kinda hilarious.

I too set some sort of book goal this morning...I pulled 25 that I've been dying to read and put them on an alternate shelf, I mean, I think I should be able to total bigbangs into my book count. am i wrong?

and let's help each other with the murder impulse control thing, we'll buddy up for that one, I for one am running out of places to bury bodies

I've already got the first cat picture up, so hopefully I continue with the rest of the days. *crosses fingers*

Oh! What a good idea for book reading, and yes! Big Bangs should absolutely count. But I don't know that they do, which is tragic.

hahahaha. Okay, I like the idea of a buddy system to help stop us from all the murderings.

ive started picking smaller more measurable resolutions. I went bout 50/50 for 2014, it was good enough for me!

I feel like a knob constantly when I take random photos but when you explain to people you're doing a project that lasts all year they're often impressed, hahahahahaha

wait, like 50/50 out of all your resolutions? that is amazing. well good on you!

oh! well, perhaps if anyone asks I'll just lie and say it's for a project.

also, read a fucking book. jesus. some people (much better than I people) set goals of like 50 books or more a year and a few years ago, I could probably do that but now, it's... okay, I could read a book OR I could read this fanfic that I've already read three times. - Yes, yes. This, exactly. I do that, too. (I really need to get serious about life in general offline this year, actually. But it's hard - because online is so much better, damn it....)

good luck with that, I'm going to get more serious about my time online, because yeah, it is a lot better and I need to face facts, I ain't never having an off-line life.

i used to set big resolutions and never managed to complete them. i realised i was aiming for stuff i didn't care about in the first place.

so i make a balance between things i like doing and things i feel i should do more. like, i want to read more books. so i set a realistic goal of 12 (i have a friend and her goal is 150+ and that's insane and could never reach it) which is feel is doable. also i read somewhere that the average person only reads 7 a year and i feel i can beat that. also things like, watch 12 docos. sure i'm laying in bed but i'm learning things at the same time.

maybe document your commute to work on instagram. find pretty things along the way and snap a photo of them. i sometimes feel like a knob taking photos of stuff, but i figure that everyone else is doing the same thing.

also i've been enjoying your cat photos. cuuuute.

12 books is a great goal, I think I'm going to aim for 10. 150 is just insane. Or, well. I guess it depends on how much free time your friend has and how long the books are.

Like, I know I read... pretty much nothing last year but 7 as the average seems a bit low, doesn't it?

I've actually thought about it, but my commute to work is not interesting. In the morning, it's still dark and then coming home it's just walking next to traffic.

:) thank you. but just to clarify, not my cat. just the cat that I share a house with.

i don't know the lengths of the books she's ready but i know she has a decent commute on public transport every day, so that gives her plenty of reading time. whereas i live a five minute drive from work and once i get home i get distracted by all the other things i need to do around the house.

well, if a whole lot of people are reading none at all, even if there are people who are reading 100+ books a year then statistically it would bring down the average by a lot.

have you thought about doing those instagram photo challenges? lasts for a month and each day is a type of photo that you have to take? a friend used it to get into the hang of using instagram when she first joined and now she posts like 4 times a day.

that makes it sound like the cat is also renting the place. which i quite like the idea of. (plus, cats do sort of end up owning a place anyway).
