And believe me you will <3 it. There are a lot of frustrating problems but if you restrict your news reading and wallowing and analyzing to 'just' 1-2 hours a day instead of 12 (this is MY problem not yours, heh, I'm an obsesser and agitated-LJer) or even just get out and do fun cultural things and enjoy the atmosphere of the big city and ENJOY THE COUNTRY of the midatlantic states, you will have a blast.
Oh and P.S. if you make it to the west coast let me know as I have some MAD hookups for you. :)

Sorry my typing is not normal, I have NyQuil and a cold in my system, bad combination, anyway... I on and off DREAD Bangor.
I have to leave a boyfriend and a family of friends and a city that I have fallen deeply in love with. I feel like it's partly a move to postpone my future career decisions.
But then I look at what I will be doing there and I realize if I can survive a big challenge to who I am now then I can also come back here and pick up where I left off just as easily. <3 You will be fine!!!
