Reading Sandman is one of the best ways to spend an evening. It's funny, it is probably the first comic that's ever grabbed me like that, made me feel, made me care about the characters. So with the video night yesterday, we decided to venture down to the videoshop, walked out the door... and realized neither myself or Kai had keys. The next forty minutes was spent trying to find a screwdriver and some pliers to undo a wire from Kai's bike... with the wire we reached in through the mail slot and pulled down the handle. Everything is booked for my Paris trip! This is the apartment we'll be staying in. I'm only paying 400 euro for 6 nights, so it's really good value and the place has everything - from the Internet to a washing machine. And it looks great! I missed out on the support band, Jesus on Extasy, because of German punctuality. See, in Australia when it says that the show starts at 21:00, they won't get going till 22:00 or even later. There is good asian food in Berlin! I am genuinely surprised. The Vietnamese restaurant was amazing, though we had to wait to get in - it was packed!
