It's big, it's friendly, it's warm, it smells of all the things I love, and it's all mine. I own it, but I have a room mate, a friend from work with similar interests. He is deployed for the next couple months until I deploy, so It's all mine until then. The way things are going, I should have it payed off within two years. It's strange having so much space and so few people in it. I'll have to start having friends over regularly. It's been a very strange experience having my own place again, and even stranger owning it, but it's a good strange.
I'll be overseas for for months starting in may, then I'll be returning here. I have less than a year left in the military. This time next year, I'll be done.
Activate my GI bill and begin the next chapter. I can pursue whatever I fancy, but I'm not sure what yet. It needs to be something I truly enjoy. I'll either take business to help grow my store and become a true entrepreneur, or maybe become a physical therapist, or take a stab at the performance arts if I'm feeling bold. I have the opportunity to reinvent my life in the manner of my choosing just like I always wanted, and, like my home, this time I'm doing it of my own volition for my own goals, and I'll be proud of the choices I make.
At some point in there I'll have to visit Ann Arbor, but that will be a while yet.
Just read this today, or I would have responded sooner. I suppose, in a sense, that's an accurate comparison, in that I am trying to narrow down where you are and where you'll be next. You're always going to be a blip on my raidar; I prefer to have at least some idea of the view from where you sit.
