I don't normally care for this pairing, but your fantastic title drew me in and the content didn't disappoint. (How can it be disappointing, with such vivid imageries composed of beautiful choice of vocab & easy-to-read syntax?)

Pshaw, I have no idea why you were nervous. This is really good, ESPECIALLY since for your first fanfic attempts into this fandom you decide to choose two pretty difficult characters (imho) to nail down.

But I love love looove that you had the fic center around Subaru and Fuuma. These two are rarely featured in a fic talking together, especially without Kamui or Seishirou. It's a combo I always love to see and I think you got it down really well!

I know this was from Subaru's POV but I think due to my own character bias, Fuuma totally stole the show for me. I loved the way you wrote him. He's guarded and hard to place, but at the same time totally obvious to Subaru (Who I guess had a lot of practice with Sei when it came to these shenanigans).

Looooved it. I hope you write more Tsubasa. ;3;

BECAUSE. Ajhakdj you have no idea how I fretted over this. And really, I had all the intents to write Sakura, just as you said, and then I somehow got this scene stuck into my head and decided that well, why the hell not. I figured that there's so little canon info about TRC!Subaru that I couldn't mess it up too badly - it was really Fuuma I was worried about. But I'm glad you think it wasn't a complete disaster. :>

I don't know, somehow I really liked what little interaction they had in the end of the Acid Tokyo arc, so I wanted to write more about them. And I wanted to write F/K without using either of their POVs because seriously, why do you have to be so ridiculously difficult to write, guys, that's just not fair. So I went for Subaru instead.ffff you have no idea how happy it makes me to hear you say that. Because I think your Fuuma is absolutely perfect, so if you think my attempt at writing him wasn't totally horrible, then... ajdjskdj thank you so much. ;A; And yeah, that's exactly what I was thinking: that some aspects of

Sob, I totally know how you feel. I ALWAYS fret when I write a new fandom/pairing/character. It is completely ridiculous. Hell, I do it even with fandoms/pairings/characters I have written before, sometimes.

But as little canon of him as there is, I think your interpretation of him sided up very nicely to what we do know about him. And oh my god Fuuma. I LOVE YOUR FUUMA. *___*

I like that he's a little more, idk how to put it. Like, his smile is benign, like you said in the fic, but everything else about him has that undercurrent of forcefulness that I think you did a fantastic job of demonstrating without just spelling it out or making it too obvious so that everyone, not just Subaru, would notice it. That's such an awesome balance that you struck.

No, I'd definitely say that for a first TRC fic, this is definitely a success. I loooove it. And I am SUPER excited for your other fics. *_* Those all sound awesome.

But really, it all sounds so much more complex when you put it like that; I swear, when I was writing it, I just had this image of Fuuma in my head and wrote it down without thinking of it much. Hi! Sneaking in 'cause of a certain someone's rec - dude, this fic's awesome. Any Fuuma's tough as hell to write, and TRC!Subaru's got such little canon to him that he's also pretty tough, and despite this you captured them both so well in this fic!

Because, as you said, he's a tough character to write, because he's just so complex and layered and I really wanted to do justice to that.

Yes, that picture in the epilogue is my last hope, too, that somehow, it will all turn out well. And yeah, Subaru is Subaru, no matter what universe he's in.
