Dear Diary
Today Yunho hyung wore The Leather Pants.
When I saw him in the morning I told him they were unnecessary, but he just smiled at me and said that the fans will love it.
As usual, he didn’t understand what I meant.
When we settled in the car I told him The Leather Pants were unnecessary because it was going to be 18°C today in Beijing, but he just made things worse by rolling up the sleeves of his sweater.
‘Don’t worry, if it gets too warm I can always change.’
When we walked through the airport I told him that The Leather Pants drew unnecessary attention to his legs. But he just rolled his eyes and said:
‘Changmin, you wear short shorts.’
When he shifted in his seat on the plane, I observed that The Leather Pants must be unnecessarily uncomfortable, but he just laughed and said that they weren’t very tight. When I told him he was wrong, he tried to pat my hair and said:
‘You’re just jealous your thighs wouldn’t look as good in leather pants as mine do.’
I couldn’t argue with him so I ordered wine.
After a couple of hours of staring at The Leather Pants at close proximity, I told Yunho that The Leather Pants were unnecessary because they were simply unnecessary. But he just looked at me and smiled.
‘Okay, Changminnie.’
At the hotel we were unpacking and changing into more comfortable clothes when The Leather Pants were thrown unceremoniously across a chair.
‘Now you can stop saying that the pants are unnecessary,’ he told me brightly.
I got sick of him missing the point so that night I put on The Leather Pants and sat on the bed. When he came out of the bathroom, he stared at me and at The Leather Pants that I was wearing for a long time.
‘I think I understand now,’ he said finally, walking towards the bed.
‘You agree that The Leather Pants are unnecessary?’ I asked.
‘Very unnecessary,’ he confirmed. ‘So lie down and let me remove them for you.’
Tomorrow morning I will tell him that The Leather Pants were not as unnecessary as I had originally believed.
