Character Information:
Full Name: Misty
Series: Pokémon [anime]
Canon point:  Post-AG/Chronicles/Mastermind Special, while she still resides most often in Cerulean City, as its gym leader.
Age: 10 [as of Episode 003 of the series as a whole]
Species: Human
Appearance/PB: The girl's typical appearance at the time is like so.
Appearance upon arrival: As far as how she looks, Misty will be sporting the same outfit she wore in her last run-in with Ash (see picture above): orange shoes, yellow shorts, a similarly colored sleeveless top adorned with a blue collar and button, and red clothing underneath. Her hair will up in the usual fashion, a side ponytail held back by a blue hair band. There won't be any major cuts and bruises, as the girl is simply returning home to Cerulean City after paying a visit to Dr. Yung's laboratory.

History:
Previous RP memories: N/A
Bringing someone along?: Why yes, she is bringing a certain companion. Psyduck! (A duck-like water-type pokémon with a chronic headache. Who ironically can't swim.) The relationship between the two is an interesting one, if peculiar at times. His addition to her group had been an accident--if tapping a pokéball dropped unintentionally and in effect capturing itself on a whim is any indication. Ever since, it's been a love-hate relationship back and forth. Even with the trouble he unintentionally causes for her at times, like coming out of its pokéball when he isn't supposed to for instance, and Misty's complaints in return for his faults, they both do hold each other dear. For better and for worse, this little guy will forever be by her side, and the girl wouldn't even think of trading him away as the opportunity arises. Which it has a few times. (In the dub of the anime, he was hinted to be a boy, so let's assume as such, yes?)
Character History: Misty actually has a bulbapedia page over yonder.

Personality:
Misty has definitely gone a long way since her first appearance--both figuratively and literally. When first introduced, she is seen as a very assertive individual. One could say she had a short fuse, as her temper is something that easily fluctuates when triggered, and she isn't afraid to let it loose. When prompted, she can and will resort to violence. As she switches between different mood sets, from complacent to furious, she's quite vocal in response to things and situations, generally speaking out for the most part. If she is angry, she will implode on you if she can't hold it in any longer. If she is a big fan, she will have stars in her eyes and be gushing if to that point. Even if others don't necessarily share her same view points. One case of this: her reaction to tentacruel, believing the pokemon cute while those around her didn't readily agree.

This, along with other particular traits, may or may not have to do with her family situation growing up. At least in the anime!verse, the Cerulean City Gym is home to not two, but four sisters in total including Misty herself. For a long time, the redhead was in the shadows of her older sisters Daisy, Lily, and Violet, which together was seen as the Sensational Sisters while she was referred to as the runt of the family. Exclusion was common, from claims directly by her sisters to material goods in which Misty was stuck with the hand-me-downs in comparison. (No parents were mentioned at this point.) It left her with something of an inferiority complex for awhile as a result, with one example of this showing in a case where she had entered the Queen of the Princess Festival for the prize of pokémon dolls, a luxury she was not given as a child. Note however that enough, she is eventually able to create a stronger bond with the oldest of the sisters, Daisy, so relations are somewhat improved.

For certain she is a type-a personality type. The girl is highly competitive, as when she really gets into the game, she puts her all into it. While traveling this trait plays a role in relations to Ash, as depending on the situation, they end up being rivals. She has a strong drive, refusing to give up easily. Her stubbornness is a prominent feature of hers. Example? Her bike. When a certain trainer totalled her bike, she absolutely refused to let him forget it, and was determined to stick with him until he got her a new one--which lead to her adventures with him in Kanto, Orange Islands, and Johto. Of couse, this is not to say that relations to her friends were strained, because through her experiences they had grown to be the best of friends. (Additionally, the girl in particular may have even developed feelings for one of the two--but that is another story in its entirety.) She is a loyal type of companion, and you can count on her having your back through thick and thin, team rocket shenanigans and all. Notably though, the girl seems to have a talent for bonding with younger siblings, like Max for instance, being the one to help offer advice for that position as she is in the same position herself.

That said, despite her high-strung attitude, Misty isn't limited to those traits. She has a big heart underneath the tough act--even when she would express anger at first, her concern is shown shortly after. She is also a sensible person, serving as the middle man balancing out the antics Ash and Brock have to pull, and quite literally for the latter, making it a point to pull him by the ear when he gets too in amour with Nurse Joy or any of the other older ladies. While being something of a tomboy, her in-game nickname is the "tomboyish mermaid," she does have a girly side to her, being something of a romantic--in fact, she'll even daydream about Paris and all the rest at one point at least. Her motherly side starts to come out the introduction of Togepi, and while she is shown to have mellowed down over time as a result, still retains that same spirit and vigor by the end of the day.

Extra:
Character Abilities: Naturally, growing up in a water-based gym, she'd learn to be sufficient in swimming. It's to the point where even in outfits that hinder flexibility in the legs--like say, a mermaid costume thrown on her--she's able to swim around with ease come rain and shine. Also, with a hobby of hers being fishing, Misty's generally good at that too. She's even made a type of lure resembling herself, and has taken to giving Ash one. Fun fact: it's through this hobby that she met Ash and Pikachu--Misty literally fished them out of the water by accident.
Possessions: The bag she's currently got on her is a pink one (see appearance). Inside is a number of random items, which include, but may or may not be limited to: a number of pokéballs, a cascade badge for the gym she works at, a medallion she won at the Tour de Altomare (a water chariot race, 5th Pokémon movie), a fishing rod, a Misty lure or two, set of clothes, a sleeping bag, and a pokégear. Oh, and a letter of invitation from Dr. Yung. That's all for now.
Anything else: Keep away carrots, peppers and bugs. Except for ones not looking like bugs and cute ones for the latter, the girl generally doesn't take a huge liking to those three. Just saying.

See? This is why you aren't supposed to randomly pop out of your pokéball and just pick up random music boxes like that!

[ Things aren't going the way they're supposed to be at the moment. One minute, she had just arrived at Cerulean City Gym after a twist of adventures. Next thing she knows, Psyduck decides to come out on his own accord and promptly gets distracted with a music box situated neatly on the ground in front of the entrance.

And naturally, she had to check it out herself too. Have an irritable sigh. ]

Was there even a label on it? Where are we anyways?

[ "Psyyyyy?" Nevermind, he's even more confused than she is. Did Tracy send it? Or had Daisy order something for another show? She tosses up and down a particular item absentmindedly at this, before looking over the strange seal she had found once more. Funny how it looks like a pokégear-- ]

Wonder if it works like one too.

Log/Prose sample:

Characters: Misty, Psyduck-- Free for all: anyone in the area can pop in.
Where & When: Bungalow District, early morning.
Rating & Why: At the highest, probably PG. Nothing too serious is going on.
Summary: In which Misty first discovers the tropical area and sets out to explore. With just one minor setback.

At a first glance alone, Misty's mind came to one conclusion. The place was simply amazing. There was a briskness in the air that seemed to only heighten her senses, that tingle at the bottom of her throat, the excitement rising in the back of her mind. But what had caught her attention most of all was not the island homes themselves, though needless to say they did have their merit of course. No, it was the crystalline blue around the abodes. In other words, the water.

It reminded the redhead of so many different things, memories in time. The gym back in Cerulean City, with its aquariums and pool. All the pokémon still there, her older sisters too. Is Daisy taking care of the pokémon all right? Well, there's Tracy around, so things should be taken care of just fine worse comes to worst at home. Her travels with Ash and Brock, who she had been with so long then, they had become home for her at one point, and it had hurt her some to see them go. But duty had called her to other places, and if she wasn't going to handle things, who will?

A quiet sigh and a shake a head as she contemplated this for that single moment. Water pokémon were her passion--she'd even taken to making it her dream to be the world's greatest water pokémon trainer. Well, no matter for now. The time was right for exploring the place, getting to know the area. So far it seemed all right, and perhaps she could make it a regular deal to come back every so often. Take a swim, maybe go fishing here and there. She could try talking to the residents in the area, and get a few tidbits on the place from it. Nothing seemed too far off.

Except for one tiny little problem.

"Psy."

Or rather, it better stay small.

"Psyduck! What are you hiding behind there for?"
