In my defense, I didn't see that episode--and now that I've had a chance to use Google, I see that the idea has already been fleshed out, although others think that Cuddy most corresponds to Lestrade.

RSL actually calls them 'ducklings.' Apparently, he's in the LJ-fandom know. :))

I'm not fond of the Holmes parallel, although it was clearly intended this way. I never liked Holmes. He's an emo wanker. If he'd stayed a dorky, Aspie-like chemistry grad student I'd have liked him a hell of a lot more, but Doyle turned him into this proto-James-Bond figure that's just so *trite*...
