This is so heartbreaking and horrific. I'm so sorry. Nothing like this should ever happen to anyone. That is so frightening.

Your memories of him are wonderful. He sounds like an incredible, warmhearted person who deserved to make his dreams come true. Hopefully they will come true in the end.

Wow. That's unbelievable. What do you even say to something like that? Who would ever do that to someone and why? That must be so hard for Ben and for you. Especially this time of year, which should be so joyful for all your families, what a time to have such a thing happen. I'm so sorry. It's surreal and scary. I wish I could come over and chat with you about it over some coffee.
