That article caused all kinds of commotion in the faculty lounge at Tyee today. The overall reaction seemed to be,
"If the test is too hard, are we really going to lower the bar? Or do we actually start holding students accountable and revising the curriculum so that students have a chance to succeed?"

The debate was lively, and the bloodshed minimal. But that's because there were no administrators present.

I wonder about this myself. I can't help but think that anyone has the potential to be brilliant, if they want to be.
