For hernia surgery, I strongly recommend Dr. Robert Kugel in Olympia. He invented, and teaches, a procedure that is far less invasive than the modern "tension-free" methods of open surgery, is also both less invasive and less risky than laparoscopic surgery, and has the absolute lowest risk of recurrence.

Not to mention, he fixed me up nicely a few years ago. I selected him after quite a lot of research, and I considered hernia specialists all over the country before realizing that the best of the best was right here in our corner of the world.
