*ROFL* That's such a River thing to do. I can just imagine Jayne in a girly embroidered towel.

I am imagining her explaining fluid dynamics as she sneaks up on her unsuspecting victims! And a bright child would just eat that up... cause, as Simon said, she could be a real brat about it...

Oh NICE. I love that the towel had little flowers on it!

Yeah, there are some times when there just has to be a feminine touch to balance out all the testosterone!

*giggles at the vision* I like Mal's shock and the fact that they coloured the water!

The colored water felt like a way of identifying water for use in the ship. Water being a very expensive commodity, there has to be a way of identifying drinking versus washing versus coolant water... I think about logistics of these things- that will be why you never see the 'endless' shower scenes. There simply isn't enough water on board to do that... I know, I know, I overthink things... oh well

You got it! River was a playful child in my view. Her imagination would have led to many an afternoon whiled away on play. Gus is giving her back a piece of that, a piece that was yanked away when she went to the Academy.

And Jayne? Well, hmmm... a towel, water and not much else... *Wink*

Gus in my mind has become a very interesting person. He has lent his voice, well, his presence to a bunch of thoughts that are just beginning to perculate. River recovering some of her joy, Jayne letting go of some of his grownup bitterness (Yes, I always saw Jayne as a man who had lost some of his youth and it led to his becoming who he was- easier than facing it). I look forward to seeing how this flows through time as I already saw the end...

I always thought Zoe had a broad streak of humor that we only get to see in small windows of opportunity. Remember the end of War Stories, the look on her face when Mal was telling her they needed to 'get it on'? Priceless view into her sense of the ridiculous!

The Special School... nope, just got lucky in some realms. Helps that I love beyond rational thought or reason these people.
