Really interesting idea - it makes me think of the shuttle scene they cut from the BDM, which showed that Inara could fly that better than Mal.

Inara has such beauty that often we forget her strength and skill. It will be fun to draw that curtain back further.

I love the imagery of Serenity's flight through the black. The casual finger too - produces a wonderful picture of competence and ease.

Thank you- and I hope to expand on this a little- and delve further into the pilot and why it is who it is... I felt the competence was really a given based on the character. Will see if I can sort out how to tell the story... and see how it weaves in with the main storyline, and Gus... some days it is all very nebulous and far away, this would be one of them...
