I've always wanted a list like that, but it seems so lame, since I can't remember when I read the first 300 books I've read.

I know how you feel. I was like "I've read so many books, but I don't know when I did!" I finally just decided to make a list beginning with when I entered college. It's therefore not a complete list of everything I've ever read by any means, but I like ot think that it's a pretty good foundation.

After talking to you yesterday, I spent tonight making a copy of my list in a private LJ entry as a back-up and have been adding books I'd read previous to when I started keeping it. I just can't remember exactly when I read them, so I'm putting down a lot of "??" for the dates. And I feel kind of dopey putting down things I probably read in, like, seventh grade, but oh well!

Hee. Right before I read your comment I started making another list of works that I read before college started. I didn't even bother with dates but I will let you in on the fact that there is a ridiculous amount of Babysitter's Club books on there. >]

Well. A lot of these I had to read for school, to be fair.

Holy Jesus mother of god. I worked in a bookstore for 3 years. I don't think I should ever attempt a list like that.
