Grandparents! Some nerve...and Tom Cruise can't be slated to do all these remakes because I can't stand him! He ruined Mission Impossible and War of the Worlds, I'll stick with the old stuff thank you very much while he continues to jump on couches!

Well, as you can imagine, this has been a hot topic in MFU fandom for some time now. We followed the various plans of casting the leads. Solo went from George Clooney to Tom Cruise to Bradley cooper to finally Cavill. I can live with Cavill but I really wanted Jon Hamm.

I just did a survey monkey of the community and had over 350 folks reply. Right now, I'm working on a book chapter about how social media affected and influenced our 50 year old fan community. I'm keeping the survey moneky because next summer we will be invaded by the Cavillites and it will be interesting to see if the community changes. I suppose it all depends on the success of the movie.
